In fact, the couple bonded over the device, syncing up their activities so they could motivate each other to stay fit. Sounds great, right? Unfortunately, not exactly.

Apparently, things weren’t exactly as peachy as they may look at first. One night, on Jane’s boyfriend’s birthday, to be exact, the woman showed up at his apartment with balloons to, naturally, wish him a happy birthday! As she waited for a long time, wondering where had her boyfriend vanished to, Slater noticed that her boyfriend’s Fitbit showed increased physical activity…. at 4am!

After the man failed to return Slater’s text messages and calls, Jane eventually figured out that he wasn’t “enrolled in an OrangeTheory class at 4am”, he was cheating on her with someone else. Not classy!
