Speeding is a universal problem. Yeah, I get it, everyone has things to do and places to be. But, the amount of time people save by driving over the limit never outweighs the potential risk that it poses. I often find myself seeing drivers whizzing past me only to be stopped at the next red light alongside me. And even if they manage to get to their destination earlier, it is never a case of them shaving off 10 minutes from their drive....

I am Karol Nienartowicz, a 30 year old mountain photographer from Poland. For 10 years I have been climbing and photographing Tatras – the highest mountains in Poland. The first time I went to the Tatras was in 2005. Then I won my first photo contest in which the prize was a weekend in pension in Zakopane – the capital of Tatra Mountains. From that moment I have crossed in Tatra’s 740 km and I have beat the sum of altitude difference equal 51 000 m....

Over the past year I’ve carved and sculpted crayons into characters and designs, mostly just using a dental scraper and alcohol lamp. All of them are made 100% from crayon, with extra color being added using melted wax from other crayons. For me crayons are a naturally appealing medium.
